Shimano

Shimano are the market leading manufacturer of cycle parts and components for mountain, triathlon and road bikes. They are based in Japan. Shimano introduced technical innovations to the groupset sector in the early 80's with the introduction of the Dura Ace range for road bikes and have continued to dominate the groupset market up to the present day with the release of Ultegra, 105, Tiagra and Sora groupset ranges. Along with many other innovations Shimano introduced SPD (Shimano Pedaling Dynamics), a range of pedals and matching shoes.
