GPS

A GPS computer uses satellites in the sky to track your location, and from this the data can be downloaded after the ride to analyse your distance, average speed and even upload to ride sharing sites such as Strava. No cables are used or magnets to fit, so they are a very simple ride recording tool. Once you have finished your ride, you can then download the data to a computer and analyse the data.
