      • Good reliable mudguards
I bought these to go on a road bike with no mudguard clearance. I knew the wouldn't fit but I'm sick of buying a new set of clip on's every year and with a bit of filing, fibreglass, moving a bracket or two & a packet P clips they fit a treat. I rotated the front bracket 180° to give more clearance under the fork crown & had to thin the guard & strengthen with a layer of fibreglass so it would fit through the rear brake bridge ( Araldite works well as resin). I have used Bluemels for years & they are great mudguards, not too heavy, very robust & once fitted correctly they don't rattle once out on the road.

      • Fiddly but worth it !
Been meaning to get some proper full mudguards for my 2011 Giant Rapid winter bike for a while now. Saw these at a great price and decided to give them a try. Yes they are fiddly to fit ( took me 2-3 hrs) but they are worth the effort. Be aware that these only work with bikes that have dedicated frame mountings. Since fitting I've had a couple of 30 mile rides on wet, filthy roads. Kept me clean and dry and the important parts of the bike clean ( mechs, brakes etc ) and so far no annoying rattles.I have some of the quick fit type guards for occasional use on the 'Best Bike' but for full winter protection these are perfect. Look pretty good too. Would recommend.

      • perfect, easy to fit look stylish
Brought these to fit on a gravel bike( Whyte , Dorset ) they have made the bike look really stylish ,why are some cyclists really adverse to using mudguards ? Apparently only rains 14 days in the whole year on your weekly commute ( depends on where you live of course ) but how many days are the roads wet ? Mudguards are a must in this country and these make any bike look good ,east to ,adjust and they do what it says on the box.

        • Whats the difference between the black and black/reflective options?
        • Thanks for the query.

The Black/Reflective have a reflective stripe on them, the Black do not.

        • Hi, will these fit a 27 inch wheel?
        • Thanks for your query.

The mudguards are designed to be used with a 700c wheel, and so with a slightly smaller wheel the arc of the mudguard would not perfectly match a 27inch wheel as intended.

        • Hi I'm a little bit confused? & I have a quick question. Thanks in advance. I have a Ribble 7005 sportive bike, im using it for commuting to work, basically im fed up with being covered in mud and dirt all the time and would like to add mud fenders.

I'm looking at the pictures and seems that the bluemels fenders come with diffrent fittings! On my bike I have no mudguard eyes or no chainstay bridge. Will this fit my bike or not? Can somebody get back to me to confirm, thanks
        • Hi Murat,

          Thanks for your question.

Unfortunately these mud guards will not work with your frame, due to the lack of mounting points. However, a guard such as; http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/crud-roadracer-mk3-guards-pair/#pid=34856 should work no problem, as these fasten to your chain stays and forks.

          Regards,
