I have been through many a road tyre and never have I found a pair which genuinely scare me. These, even in the 28mm, are so slippery as to be dangerous. Probably due to the plasticy, hard rubber used, they skid and slip like nothing I have ever ridden. Not only do I think these are dangerous on wet winter roads but I can feel the rear wheel spinning under me on climbs, wasting energy the whole way.
I'm on a very tight budget and I would never waste a bicycle component but I am going to have to swap these out after three weeks (150-200 miles) because I fear for my safety and I enjoy riding my bike less!
Michelin's lithion 25mm have roughly the same volume as these in a 28mm and are far, far better for the money.
