The endurance range is a family of lightweight road bikes that are designed for endurance riding or racing, leisure rides and even fast commutes. The endurance bikes offer mile-eating comfort and a race-like performance in a choice of frame materials, Steel, Aluminium, Carbon and Titanium so you can choose the right bike for you. No matter which bike you choose each bike in the range shares the same geometry and many of the same benefits and features. The Endurance bike range has a geometry that offers the best balance of stability, comfort and precision handling with enough adjustability to offer the rider the choice of a slightly more relaxed position or a more performance optimised race position. One of the most noticeable design features across the range is the dropped seat stays which help to increase the compliance of the bike. These dropped stays help to dissipate the vibration transmitted through the frame to increase rider comfort and reduce fatigue. Each bike in the range also has discreet mudguard mounts for all-weather capability and is available with a choice of disc brakes or rim brakes. With each bike you can order our recommended specification or enter into our BikeBuilder function which allows you to fully customise the bike to suit your personal preferences.
Due to the many different frame materials available the category of endurance road bike encompasses a wide range of bikes including carbon endurance road bike, alloy endurance road bike, steel endurance road bike, titanium endurance road bike, electric endurance road bike and endurance disc road bike.
Carbon endurance road bikes are the lightest option and offer a great mix of speed, agility and comfort. Alloy endurance road bikes are light, fast and agile, they are also the most accessible option and have proved to be popular with beginner cyclists and those looking to upgrade to a faster bike. A steel endurance bike is very comfortable to ride thanks to the natural compliance of steel. They are also very tough and can handle much tougher treatment than most other materials. Titanium endurance road bikes are very similar to steel, slightly heavier than other materials but by far the toughest and like steel very compliant.
Electric endurance road bikes can be manufactured from any of the materials above and have a compact yet powerful electric propulsion system which provides a boost of power when heading up hill or over rolling terrain. The system will only provide extra assistance to the rider and will not actually take over and allow the rider to stop pedalling. Endurance disc road bikes are simply any of the above that have disc brakes equipped instead of the traditional rim brake. Disc brakes are more powerful than rim brakes and offer more braking control too. They particularly come into their own in mixed conditions when disc brakes offer better braking consistency.

Why choose a Ribble Endurance bike?
Designed in Lancashire and tested over the hills and roads in northern England.
Ribble Endurance models are road bikes designed to allow the rider a more relaxed riding position ideal for longer rides, road sportives or fast commuting. They are perfect for endurance riders looking to challenge themselves, to set new PB's or for completing ever-increasing long-distance rides. Endurance bikes allow you to ride all day long in control and comfort and they absorb rougher roads and potholes more effectively than a race-orientated bike.
Our UK design team apply their expert knowledge of designing advanced carbon road bikes and by adjusting the frame geometry create a light and competitive bike with comparable design benefits, but with a less aggressive riding position. Endurance focused geometry allows riders to experience all the benefits of a carbon road bike but builds in comfort for longer distances makes these more versatile models suitable for a wide range of cycling including sportives, leisure riding, bike-packing, and commuting. For experienced riders these endurance-focused, road racing-style bikes can also perform well as a lightweight urban bike.
