  • What we’re looking for

    Our Showrooms are where we can bring the Ribble experience to life, displaying our current range with consultation areas to guide customers through the purchasing process. The showrooms are about bring our website to life and aiding the customer in the personalisation of their bike. The showrooms can also serve as a flexible event space, allowing us to host events, training, and screenings as appropriate, which the Showroom Assistant(s) will support in the planning and executing. Working as part of the whole Customer Experience team, your role will be focused on Sales, as well as offering expert support and advice pre- and post-purchase. The ability to provide industry-leading sales and customer support is essential to the role. We are seeking a cycling obsessed team player, with experience of working in retail, ideally within the cycling industry. Mechanical knowledge of bicycles is ideal but not essential, but more important is a customer-centric mindset and a desire to delivery an exceptional customer experience. It is essential that you not only identify with, but demonstrate our core values in every element of your work: ‘we care, we innovate, we achieve, as one’.

    Key areas of responsibility

    • Delivering world class service to our showroom customers
    • Guide customers through the buying process advising them on types of bikes.
    • Aiding customers in sizing using our sizing jigs for bike purchase.
    • Maintaining housekeeping standards of the showroom
    • Support in the opening and closing of the showroom.
    • Checking customer bikes for handover and going through customer collection process
    • Where needed support with customer service email enquiries
    • Good timekeeping and attendance

    Essential skills and experience

    • Retail or Customer Service experience.
    • Exceptional customer service skills, with a proven track-record.
    • A strong team player and self-starter, used to working collaboratively to problem-solve and provide exceptional service to our customers.
    • Knowledge of bicycles, ideally across multiple disciplines.
    • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Flexibility to adapt well to change with enthusiasm and positivity.
    • Willingness to learn and receive feedback.
    • A brand ambassador that takes ownership and follows through to completion.

    Desirable skills and experience

    • Prior experience of working within the cycle industry
    • Working with sales-based targets, with a focus on results
    • A keen interest in cycling

    • Customer consultations measured through customer build codes.
    • Store cancellation rate
