Ribble 7005 CR1

Ribble 7005 CR1

Value-for-money all-rounder that is built to last

The Ribble CR1 is a multi-use road bike that is suitable for Road, Cyclocross, Commuting or even light touring. This bicycle is perhaps the one bike to do-it-all at a great value-for-money level. Using our own brand aluminium 7005 tubing we are able to offer this frame at a very competitive price, just like the frame that it is based on, the 7005 Audax, however this one is even more versatile.

The CR1 has double bottle cage mounts and the bottom bracket is a 68mm British thread making it easy on the pocket should you have to replace this durable part.

The top tube of the CR1 has also been shaped for extra comfort if you choose to carry the bike during cyclocross races or sportives and with the extra wide clearance for up to 37mm tyres there is plenty of room for mud and comfortable wider tyres.

Versatility and practicality are at the core of the cleverly designed CR1 - this is a bike that will not sit idle for very long. Fitted with narrower tyres the CR1 will perform commuting or road training and sportive duties faultlessly, but if you’re keen to discover (or re-discover) what the ‘adventure buzz’ is all about then grab some wider and grippier tyres and just get out there.

All day and adventure riding is, of course, not far removed from traditional cycle touring, and the CR1 is light enough to be ridden over a wide variety of surfaces from back roads and fire roads to canal paths and Sustrans trails.

The key here is to just get out and enjoy the ride. Dirt tracks, fire roads, wooded trails or Tarmac, the CR1 delivers fun riding wherever you want to go.

NB. This frame has mounts for full coverage mudguards to be fitted. View our range of mudguards.

Ribble 7005 CR1 Customer Reviews

Unbelievable quality for the price. Everything that you need in a bike.
It's my first bike from Ribble and it certainly won't be my last
Sean
This bike is awesome, I use it as a commuter since I wanted something I could fit wide tyres on (which incidentally is definitely the way forward). It's so comfy and having a decent groupset is also a win (Tiagra). It's also great that you can customise the build (I went for narrow bars, average stem, short cranks, semi compact chainset and a close ratio cassette) I was looking all over the internet for somewhere you could do that at a reasonable price and this seems the only place sub 1k. The people in my local bike shop were certainly impressed with it and I knew it only cost half as much (literally) as the ones in there!
