The Carbon SL 105 combines an ultra-lightweight carbon monocoque frameset with Shimanos ever popular 105 11 speed groupset. With trickle down technology from the Ultegra series and at only 200g heavier the 105 R7000 groupset is perhaps the best value groupset currently available.

By any standards this is in the elite group of roadbikes. My rim brake version with carbon wheels and 105 groupset is one of the best bikes I've ridden. It's light, around 7.7kg, stiff, aero and comfortable over long distances. For me the 105 version is the sweetspot in value Vs performance. It's within 150 grams of ultegra and pretty nearly identical functionally. I was tempted to go etap SRAM red but still prefer not to have to charge a battery before I go for a bike ride.
The quality of the finish and paint is a whole different league to my already very good sportive racing.
I've had my SL since April. Build quality of the frame is as good as anyone's. Really has moved Ribble up a league. To me the bike seems very similar in geometry , ride and handling to my daughter's Scott foil. And that's praise indeed. It's more race than endurance geo so can't understand why they didn't call it the SL Race. I think my caliper braked version with 105 and carbon Quattro wheels nudges the scales at around 7.8kg which is good for a 105 bike. I think the disc version and aksium wheel option would add a kilo to that probably.
