R872 Black R7000 - New Shimano 105
Lighter, stiffer, faster.
Best on Test - Cycling Weekly, August 17th 2017
'The R872 is a very impressive bike indeed...the geometry is spot on. There's absolutely no doubt that the Ribble offers super value for money. A high-modulus carbon frame paired with a complete 105 groupset...is exceptional - 10 out of 10!'
We’ve paired our award-winning, best-selling carbon road bike with Shimano’s latest iteration of the ubiquitous 105 groupset: R7000.
R7000 features a re-designed chainset with a gloss black finish reminiscent of Ultegra R8000’s new design. The hoods and levers have been completely re-thought, having under-gone an ergonomic refresh that has made the whole unit less bulky and easier to use. The front and rear derailleurs have been visually overhauled as well as receiving a healthy dose of trickle-down technology from Ultegra resulting in a lighter, shorter shift.
In short, R7000 now offers most of the peloton-dominating tech as Ultegra, at a fraction of the cost. It’s never made more sense to ride 105!
