Buy cheap; buy twiceI bought these bib tights - size large - about a year ago as a replacement for a pair of mediums, that came up a bit small (my fault, think I was a bit hopeful). I have probably worn these tights for about 30 hours in total and, despite a good comfortable fit for a fair cost, the following things have happened. Firstly, the panel over both knees has ‘laddered’ vertical lines going up both knees. Secondly, both the zips on the ankles have gone. I can do them up, but they pop open in the middle after a short while (it’s worth noting that my calves are far from huge). As a result I’m wearing my mediums again, and I’ve noticed those same ladders on the knees - although the zips are still fine. In summary, these tights are comfortable over some fair distances and they are well priced. However, based on my experience I’d say that they may not be long lived tights.

Warm tightsExcellent quality bib tights, really stop the cutting wind getting in on the cold morning rides

1Worn about four times the zips on both legs have broken now have a useless pair of bib tights, I feels its better to buy quality rather than cheap.

warmth on the cheapGot in the sale and worn them 3 times so far. Legs good with membrane doing what its meant to kept me warm even on cold foggy night around the zero but fit around crotch and bum is saggy with little material traction.or support; simlar to what I imagine granny pants feel like. They do for commuting and pad ok but just feel wierd and annoying.

Outstanding valuePerfect item for earl winter rides, I was blown away at the quality of this product for the price having tried and tested many cheap bib tights over the seasons will not be deviating away from these now.

What distance is the pad recommended for or how many hours cycling

Thanks for your question.
All of the Ribble shorts and tights come with an Endurance style pad designed for longer rides. Exactly how long you can ride in them is very subjective but they are designed for anything up to 6 hours.

- What size would you recommend for a 80kg 5' 11" male? Cheers.

Hi Keith,
You will need your waist and in-seam measurements to decide on the size. You can then use these measurements in our Size Chart (link on product page above the price).
Size Waist (in inches) Inseam (in inches)
S 30-32 26.5
M 32-34 27
L 34-36 27.5
XL 36-38 28
XXL 38-40 28.5
This item is tight fit. If you prefer a little loose, choose one size bigger.
