Heavy.Fine but heavy. The surrounding platform obviously adds to the weight although they give your feet something to push against until you are properly clipped in.

Good for the priceThis is exactly what I needed. A little heavy, but for the price, it's good stuff.

Great pedalsI bought a set for my cross bike, and after buying a second cross/commuter bike I bought a second set of pedals as well. I just need a single pair of shoes. If you ride with them in the winter like I do you have to periodically lubricate the joints. I noticed that it took a bit more effort to unclip after a winter of riding.

I've just bought these pedals along with your diadora trivex road shoes and the cleats supplied don't fit correctly, have I bought the wrong shoes/pedals please? I'm a newcomer to biking so wasn't sure what to get.
Thanks. -
Thanks for your query.
The shoes you have bought a 'road' shoe which make use of a 3 bolt fitment for the cleat. The M530 pedals are more 'mountain' bike style which use a 2 bolt cleat. Please get in touch with what you are using the bike for etc and we can look at matching pedals and shoes for you.

- can I use these with ordinary shoes and cycling shoes?
-
Thanks for getting in touch.
It would be possible, but not the comfiest as the SPD part sits proud of the cage. Shimano A530's may be a better choice.

- Do these come with a set of cleats (for the shoes) included or do I have to buy them separately?
-
Hi Nick,
Thanks for your question.
All Shimano SPD pedals come with cleats included.

- I know that you have to get clipless shoes for these. Do you recommend a flat based shoe(with a cleat) or a more cross country style shoe
-
Hi Lukas
Thanks for your question
These will be suitable for either style of shoe, please ensure you purchase a 2 bolt cleat fixture design.
