The SKS classic quick release mudguard for racing bikes
Super light weight and aerodynamic
Tool free mounting
Includes adaptor for aero forks
Longer version and more coverage than the standard Race Blade
Good quality mudguards
I bought these in consideration of the other cyclists in the club group rides. Just hope they are happy with the result.
The rear has fitted reasonably easily, but the front will require some engineering.
Couldn't get either to fit my Ribble Sportive frame, neither front nor rear.

best mudguards out there
tried many different guards and this one is the best, easy fit, stable and no rubbing/breaking (I use it on a tarmac sl2 race frame with no issues, and all weather conditions). second season running and no problems. Recommend!!!

Not bad once fitted
I was recommended to buy these by Ribble for my Ribble Sportive Racing. Getting the brackets in place under the brakes is a little fiddly, the front was OK once on but the back, on my bike, does not have clearance under the gap between frame and tyre.
I tried to install with the bracket wedged firmly with a tool between it and the tyre, tighten up the calliper bolt and take out the wedge and the tyre is catching again. Due to this I missed out installing the short guard on the back wheel
They look fine, need a little pushing to line them up and stop them catching but hopefully will do the job. As said before the quick release is not so easy but putting them on once the brackets are in place is pretty easy

One of the best
Great coverage and generally stable however I found the front fender bounces around. Fitting was mostly easy tho I had issues with the front onto a slightly recessed front bolt. Quick realise are very firm and difficult to release but are at least secure ! Heavier than Crud Raceguards but give better cover, less rubbing (more tyre clearance) recommended

the best fenders!
had many different fenders over the time and all of them didn't last and a pain to install, these are a bit more money but are easy to remove if needed and they are durable! don't buy the cheap stuff...
Will these mudguards go on my 7005 Sportive? Really limite clearance.
Unfortunately the 7005 Sportive will not take full length mudguards, due to the lack of clearance.
Can these guards be fitted to a racing bike which does not have mud guard eyes?
Thanks for your question.
These are designed to fit a bike with up to 23mm tyres max. The XL is suitable for tyres from 25-32mm in width, anything below that width - you would require the standard Race Blades, which will accept tyres from 18-23mm in width.
Will these fit a Ribble Sportive 2017? Are there any others you would recommend?
Thanks for your enquiry.
They should fit, however the available clearance would depend on the type/size of tyre.
