Chain Gang JoyThe Ribble Cycles web site is always worth visiting, because they often have need stock ar excellent prices. Icing on the cake is the speedy delivery and I particularily like the new 'HubBox' Collection Point system. With a view to, in a minor way, helping funding for them it was aranged for me to collect from a Charity Shop. Possibly, if not the first, I was amongst the first because the Shop Staff were a little off guard. I was armed with the Collection Details in an eMail on my mobile phone plus photo ID. I had to ask if they wanted the Reference # and it was noted as an afterthought. However the Goods were collected without any further ado.
The Products purchased are as expected, but I have no plans to use either of them immediately. Now I have the 'set' of Chainrings for my SRAM 1x11 set up and only a couple of weeks since increasing the Gear Ratio by moving up from a 38T to a 40T Chainring. This leave the 43T; 44T; 46T: for the future, and that is a wait and see what happens job.
I would like see SRAM Retailers to stocking SRAM Chainring Bolt Sets. The ease and speed of changing a Chainring is so easy and fast because both Bolts and Nuts have hexagon drives [5mm and 6mm respectively]. No messing with awkard angled slotted drivers. The only improvemnt would be to get the Sets to be manufactured from Titanium, mor from corrosion protection POV than lightness. The existing Sets are more expensive than those kept in stock but that would not deter anyone that has experience using them.
Thanks for your usual top service Ribble, I'll be back [just like that big guy said :) ] -
