          • Ribble Winter Audax 7005 Frame

"I finished building up my 7005 Audax early September 2015 and in the following year it's done over 6,000km commuting and wet weather riding. I built it up with second-hand Ultegra 6800 components (very cheap on eBay), wheels made up of Hope hubs and Mavic OpenPro rims, Gatorskin 25mm tyres (don't believe that stuff about only working with 23mm or under) and a disk brake fork from Kinesis. The front disk uses a TRP/HYD calliper which is excellent - hydraulic braking with a normal cable shifter. It rides very nicely and often comes out in place of my fancy carbon framed bikes with all their Dura-Ace kit. In short - it's amazing and the blue finish is just superb. Highly recommended. By the way, if you buy the headset at the same time they will fit it for you. Nice guys, those Ribble people. Jonathan..."

"This tape was factory fitted to my Ribble bike, and I found it extremely comfortable, so have now fitted to my other road bike. ..."

          • Shimano Clipless SPD-SL 5800 (105) Carbon Pedals

"I bought these pedals to match the rest of the 105 groupset on my Ribble winter/Audax bike. For the price, I'm seriously impressed. They're very similar in style and operation to their more expensive Ultegra sibling. The whole 105 groupset has come a long way in the past few years, with the features of the more expensive sets tricking down to a more wallet friendly price. Get a pair!!..."

          • Ribble 7005 Winter

"Since collecting my winter bike from Ribble at the beginning of September, I've ridden almost 600 miles on it. That possibly says it all really. I'm genuinely enjoying it to the fullest and it's not even winter yet! Sure it's not the lightest bike in the world, but it doesn't set out to be. It's designed for winter training/Audax riding and that's where it excels. I chose to build it up with the 105 groupset, keeping all the other default options and I'm really happy with the end result. The 105 kit in particular looks and operates as well as the Ultegra set on my other road bike and I'd definitely recommend it as a good value upgrade whilst building your bike. Genuinely, the only negative I've found so far is that there's only one set of bottle cage mounting points on the frame on the down tube. But then again, for winter training this probably isn't a big issue. (It might be for anyone considering using the bike for longer/Audax rides though?) I can honestly say that I'm actually looking forward to more winter riding on this blue beauty. ..."
