        • Who makes this stand?
          What does it weigh?
What is a "compact size" that it says it folds down to?

        • Hi Peter,

          Thanks for your question.

The brand is 'Union', this weighs around 6kg. The folded length is around 100cm (top to bottom)

        • Is there enough stability to the stand to allow clamping the bike by the seatpost as some repair sites have recommended (especially for carbon framed bikes).
        • Thanks for your query.

A carbon bicycle should always be clamped by the seatpost. I use this workstand myself and it is fine for all bikes apart from heavier downhill mountain bikes.
