The new Podium TT (time trial) has been developed both by Continental craftsmen in Korbach, Germany and also by the professional cyclists of HTC Columbia, BMC and Omega Pharma-Lotto over the past two years.
Using their combined expertise, we've restructured the old 19mm Podium by minimising the amount of tread rubber to reduce weight (0.7mm), replacing it with a high-tech and very lightweight Vectran breaker underneath. Vectran is used in all our premium clincher and tubular models, and the Podium is now no exception!
Tougher than aramid, Vectran is a clear winner in strength to weight testing, ensuring rolling resistance on such a speed critical tyre such as the Podium is not compromised.

The Tangente is the most aerodynamic tyre in the world, saving up to 9 seconds over 40km. Your tyres have the highest airspeed of any part of your bike and the front tyre is your machines leading edge.
To cut through the wind, Zipp have used patented ABLC dimples to mitigate the "un-aero-ness" of a round shape at the wheels leading edge. It took 14 months and 2 trips to the wind tunnel to get it right, and the 21mm version of Tangente saves up to 9 seconds over 40km compared to a traditional "file" tread pattern. No other 23mm tyre can touch the Tangente at that width, even when paired with a fully toroidal Zipp rim.
But the Tangente is not just a delicate special event tyre. Thanks to a partnership with Vittoria, the Tangente sports a durable yet supple 290tpi casing.
