WHAT IS A CUSTOMCOLOUR BIKE?

Our unique CustomColour configurator allows you unparalleled access and control to design your new bikes colourscheme within our BikeBuilder function. During development of this configurator, we worked out that there are over 1 billion colour permutations available across the entire range of Ribble bikes. In terms of the main frame colour you can specify a single colour or mix it up and apply a gradient. The gradient is a fade and can be applied to a single colour, if this option is selected the colour you have chosen will gradually darken as it runs from top to bottom or from the front to rear of the frameset .If you choose 2 separate colours then they gradually fade into each other in the same way. And it doesn’t stop there, with the gradient option you can also specify the angle of where on the frame you wish the fade to occur. This means that you can have the fade take effect from top to bottom, front to rear or even somewhere in between the 2. You also have the option to select what paint finish you would like, the choices here are standard Gloss, Metallic, Matt or Glitter. Gloss is simply a standard paint with a lacquer over the top giving the paint a sheen. Metallic paint is similar to gloss though you can see a sparkle in the paintwork and it adds more depth to the colour. Matt is just a plain matte finish and the Glitter is exactly as you would expect. You can actively see the glitter within the paintwork and when in direct sunlight the end result is spectacular. If you’ve seen the Ribble Pro Cycling bike in the stunning Blue colour scheme, this is a Glitter Blue finish. Finally, there are the decals and accents and again CustomColour can be applied to these too. Decals are of course the Ribble lettering spelt out on the downtube. Some but not all Ribble models have a different coloured seat tube and some detailing on the forks. These are the accents and these can be changed individually so in actuality you can have a bike with approx. 5 different colours specified if that is what you desire.
