Location: Head Office, Walton Summit, PR5 & Home Working
Salary: Circa £21,000

We are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join the business.

Reporting to the Management Accountant, the candidate recruited into this role will be responsible for managing the sales ledger function end to end, ensuring the accuracy and validity of data at all times. We are looking for an individual with previous experience in this field. You will be used to working to deadlines, collaboratively and cross-functionally. Applicants should be highly analytical with a sharp eye for detail and the ability to communicate with colleagues across all levels of the business.

 

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Administering the accounts receivable ledgers for key Cycle to Work and finance schemes, generating invoices and validating commissions using formula driven excel spreadsheets
  • Processing & reconciliation of daily incoming cash
  • Working collaboratively with Customer Services across multiple systems to manage and resolve customer payment queries
  • Fostering positive relationships with funders to ensure cash is received to terms and debt minimised
  • Production of regular debtor and cash due reports
  • Investigating and resolving aged debt balances
  • Management of finance application aging and renewing
  • Providing cover for other members of the Finance Team as and when required
  • Ad-hoc duties as and when required by the business


Essential experience and competency in the following are essential:

  • High degree of computer literacy – PC skills, MS Excel skills required
  • Prior experience in administering accounts receivables
  • Proven track record of working on own initiative
  • Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication skills – is concise in written and verbal communication
  • Able to work cooperatively with others in the team and across the organisation
  • Ability to multitask, organise and prioritise work


Experience and competency in the following are desirable:

  • Knowledge of Sage 200
  • Knowledge of Cycle to Work scheme
  • A knowledge or interest in Cycling or the Cycle Industry
