The Ribble Brand and Business has seen significant growth and development over recent years, and as we look to further drive our Brand and Communication into the future, we are looking for a highly talented and experienced Head of Creative to not just lead our content generation but to be instrumental in our future growth strategy.

The successful candidate must possess a very high level of creativity and experience with an accomplished and compelling portfolio across all types of creative content, particularly within a digitally focused environment. You will lead the in-house content team by example, getting stuck in and into the detail. You will need excellent leadership and communication qualities, with the ability to maximise and develop the talents of the team.

As the owner of the Ribble content strategy, you will need to ensure that our content is aligned to the Brand values and Commercial plan whilst pushing the creative boundaries, innovating and disrupting the market through compelling and engaging content with an exceptional cut through and ROI.

As the Head of Creative, you will head up our team of videographers, graphic designers and copywriters as well as external agencies and partners. You will work closely with the Exec, Brand and Marketing, Product and Commercial departments so must possess excellent visual, written and verbal communication skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Ownership of the Ribble content strategy, plan and critical path.
  • Responsibility for the creation, execution and delivery of the Ribble content strategy.
  • To deliver purposeful and impactful product launches, social comms and creative assets that are strategically aligned across all executed touchpoints.
  • The leadership of the Ribble content team.
  • Produce compelling and engaging content with an exceptional cut through and ROI.
  • Work cross-functionally with the Exec, Brand and Marketing, Product and Commercial teams in the building and delivery of the content strategy.
  • Evaluate trends, assess new data and keep up to date with the latest creative content and marketing techniques.
  • Be a key Brand stakeholder ensuring that the Ribble brand values are clearly defined, appropriate and followed across the business, creating procedures to measure and enforce compliance.
  • Direct brainstorming meetings and creative sessions.
  • Manage the department's daily workflow, assign project workload, delivering deadlines and ensuring costs are within budget.
  • Develop exceptional and well-crafted copy that meet Ribble’s brand requirements.

Essential experience & qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ in a leadership role with relevant digital content generation experience, particularly with, but not limited to web, social and emerging technologies.
  • Very high level of knowledge and experience of video, photographic and graphic design techniques.
  • A solid understanding of design, copy and web practices.
  • Brilliant interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of brand development and multichannel marketing models.
  • Must be a creative and strategic thinker.
  • A passion for cycling is preferred.
