Ribble CGR AL Blue - Sram Apex 1x 650B
THE RIBBLE CGR AL - SRAM APEX 1X
For maximum off road capability we have chosen Srams Apex 1x groupset and Mavics Aksium 650b wheels. The lack of front derailleur means that it eliminates any chance of front mech failure due to the mech being clogged up with mud. The 650b wheels are perfect for wider tyres ensuring great grip and traction when off road.
THE CGR ALLOY SRAM APEX 1x HYDRAULIC
With Srams rather unique ‘double tap ‘system where one small push of the lever blade shifts up the cassette and a longer press shifts down Sram states that’ this offers intuitive one handed shifting’.
The CGR alloy is designed to excel both on and off road thanks to its versatility and wide range of tyre clearance plus the additions of mudguards and rack mounts.

Ribble CGR AL Blue - Sram Apex 1x 650B Customer Reviews
My only gripe with the bike itself is that the top tube has a triangular cross-section near the junction with the seat tube, making the bike very uncomfortable to shoulder-carry. Also, make note that the Schwalbe One-G Allround with the classic skin-colored sidewall IS NOT TUBELESS compatible (https://www.schwalbe.com/en/offroad-reader/schwalbe-g-one-allround.html). I bought it as an upgrade together with the Mavic Allroad rims with the intention of riding tubeless, but nope. It would be good to add a warning in the build site, and/or offer the regular, black tubeless version as an option as well.
Shipping took a bit longer than expected, and tracking it on the site was of no use (order is still in "processing" to this day). I also got the bike bundle, which at the time included a small cafe lock. After receiving the package without it and inquiring, was told that their discontinued the cafe lock and was refunded 5 pounds. Also, the cleaning supply bottles were packaged with everything else, and leaked during shipping, getting all over the other components. Luckily it didn't get into the disk breaks or the bar tape.
Overall, the bike itself is great and one of the best values around (believe me I had a spreadsheet with 20+ models - I have a problem), but the building site could include better information about the components, and the shipping and packing could get a bit more love.
And if you do get this bike, do yourself a favor and pay the small extra fee for the color-detailed seat and two-tone bar tape. It looks awesome!
