The SL R is the lightest and fastest package that we offer, the fully monocoque carbon frame is super stiff. It is far from a bone shaking race bike however thanks to the dropped seatstay geometry which smooths out rough surfaces with ease. The super smooth shifting of the Shimano Ultegra groupset only enhances further the smooth and sleek styling of the bike. Plus, it even takes full mudguards should you be so inclined as to venture out in all weathers.

The SL R Series frameset is manufactured from a carefully selected blend of Toray’s carbon using more of the T1000 grade than the standard SL and layered to an exacting specification to reduce weight without compromising stiffness and strength. The frame is crafted using advanced monocoque mould technology incorporating an EPS inner core system which ensures complete consistency of the structural integrity of the fibres and resin throughout the frame. The frame carries a 3 year warranty. All other parts have the standard manufacturer's warranty.
What is the tyre clearance?
The SL R Series Disc has clearance for 28mm tyres and 25mm with full length mudguards fitted.

There are 2 bottle cage mounts.
What is the maximum rider weight?

Does it take mudguards?

I've now completed several rides around the Bowland area and across to Yorkshire. I can feel a clear aerodynamic improvement over my light weight climbing bike that is aero at the front but round tubes at the rear. Interestingly, I feel it most cycling into wind, and on longer rides.
The new style rear geometry smooths quite a bit of the road buzz as promised, and downhill handling is excellent.
It's also my first bike with DI2. The gear changing is very crisp.
I've racked up plenty of PB's and expect more to follow.
