An ULTRA series carbon bike built around one objective: helping riders convert more of their effort into forward speed. Developed using CFD analysis, wind tunnel testing and real-world validation, the ULTRA-AERO SL R uses advanced aerodynamic tube shaping, integrated component design and a race-focused geometry to reduce drag and maintain momentum when the pace is high. The lightweight carbon frame delivers the stiffness and responsiveness needed for hard accelerations and fast riding, while retaining the confidence and control required for long days in the saddle. Shimano Ultegra Di2 electronic shifting, Mavic Cosmic S 42 carbon wheels, Vittoria Corsa N.EXT 30 mm tyres, the ULTRA-AERO integrated carbon cockpit and a Selle Italia SLR Advan Superflow saddle elevate the ride with greater efficiency, responsiveness and refinement.

Speed starts at the front of the bike. The ULTRA-AERO integrated handlebar uses advanced aerodynamic shaping to help manage airflow around both bike and rider, reducing drag where it matters most. Developed as part of the complete ULTRA-AERO system, it's designed to help turn more of your effort into forward speed.

The ULTRA-AERO carbon seat post combines aerodynamic efficiency with a degree of compliance that helps smooth road buzz and reduce fatigue on longer rides. Its aero profile integrates seamlessly with the frame to support the bike's speed-focused design. Paired with the Selle Italia SLR Advan Superflow, which combines a lightweight construction with the pressure-relieving Superflow central channel for a saddle that performs as well at the end of a long ride as it does at the start.

Both use a bespoke blend of T1000 and T800 carbon fibres, but the SL R features more T1000 in its layup. This reduces weight slightly while maintaining the same stiffness, strength, and durability.

The ULTRA-AERO SL R frameset is approved for use in UCI-sanctioned events. To comply with regulations, the supplied front fork disc brake adaptor must be swapped for the UCI-approved version included with the bike. Failure to make this change may result in disqualification when competing under UCI rules.

Yes, enhanced cable integration offers a neat, cable-free appearance by keeping cables hidden, shielded from wind, and protected against the elements.

No, the handlebars can't be raised after the bike has been built, as the steerer tube is trimmed to the correct length during assembly. However, we include 30 mm of spacers, so you can lower the bars if needed; raising them further won't be possible.

The frame is optimised around 28 mm tyres and can fit up to 32 mm, depending on the tread profile and manufacturer.

No. Ribble bikes are supplied with inner tubes installed as standard, even when fitted with tubeless-ready wheels and tyres.

If you'd like to run a tubeless setup, the conversion must be carried out after delivery. This typically requires tubeless valves, sealant and, in some cases, tubeless rim tape depending on the wheel specification. We recommend following the wheel and tyre manufacturer's instructions when converting to tubeless.

This approach gives riders the flexibility to choose the setup that best suits their riding preferences and maintenance requirements.

No. As a speed-focused aero bike, the frame doesn’t feature integrated mudguard mounts.

The upper and lower bearings are P16 x 40 x 52 x 7 mm 45 x 45° and ACB 40 x 51.8 x 8 mm 45 x 45°, respectively.

The frame accommodates a standard 68 mm BSA bottom bracket, enabling easy maintenance and enhanced reliability.

The ULTRA-AERO SL R features two bottle cage mounts, with one on the seat tube and one on the downtube. Both are positioned to work seamlessly with Ribble Aero Bottle Cages for optimal aerodynamic performance.

Not in the traditional sense. The bars' aggressive profile prevents compatibility with all current extensions. However, we have developed a suitable alternative: the ULTRA-AERO Clip-on Extensions. Exclusive to the ULTRA-AERO SL R, these carbon extensions bolt into the underside of the handlebars, using the two mounting points normally reserved for an out-front computer mount. Anyone wanting to mount a cycle or GPS computer can do so on the extensions themselves.

Yes. The extensions bolt into the underside of the handlebars via the mounting points usually used for an out-front computer mount. A computer or GPS unit can then be mounted to the extensions.
