  • Keep your legs spinning with the Ribble Winter Racing Series

  • The clocks are about to go back and the evenings are getting darker, which makes it the perfect time to add a bit of turbo training into your week. You can still head out on your Ribble at the weekend or during the day. After all, there’s no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong kit. But when the light fades, the Ribble Winter Racing Series is a great way to keep your fitness sharp, stay social and have some fun on the bike.

Every Thursday at 7:10 pm (GMT) from 30th October 2025 to 19th March 2026, the Ribble community will meet on Zwift for a weekly race. Same time, same place, every week. It is your chance to keep those legs spinning, build form for next season and ride with other Ribble riders and friends from across the cycling community.

  • Why join the Ribble Winter Racing Series

  • The series is all about consistency, fitness and enjoyment.

    • Stay active through the colder months with structured weekly sessions.
    • Ride your way by chasing a personal best, targeting a sprint, or going for the overall win.
    • All levels welcome whether you are new to Zwift or an experienced racer.
    • Prizes and progress with results tracked on ZwiftPower. We will reward participation, improvement and standout performances.
    • Community connection by joining the Ribble Club on Zwift to stay up to date with events, results and announcements.

It is a great way to add variety to your training, enjoy some healthy competition and stay ready for when the clocks move forward again.

  • How it works

  • Each race contributes to the overall league, with points awarded to the top 50 riders in every category. Sprints and KOM/QOM segments offer extra points based on your best time, so there is always something to aim for.

Your best ten results across the season count towards your final league position. We will also be recognising riders who show the biggest improvements in their power-to-weight (w/kg) over the series.

  • What to expect

  • The series starts on 30th October with BRAEk-fast Crits and Grits in Scotland, before visiting the Makuri Islands, London, Watopia and more. Every week features a different course and challenge, giving you plenty of opportunities to push yourself and enjoy the ride. You can see the full calendar and sign up via Zwift Events

  • MEET YOU HOST

Each race is hosted by Matthew, who has organised the Ribble Winter Series for the past five years. Expect encouragement, energy and plenty of good-natured competition.

" I’ve lost a bit of fitness over the past couple of years, so this winter is all about getting back into Category B and enjoying the journey with fellow Zwifters. "

    Matthew
