- Could I put them on my giant defy advanced pro 0 2016 modle

Hi,
Thanks for your inquiry,
The wheels are designed to be compatible with any bikes that are fitted with disc brakes. If your bike has disc brakes then these should be a great match.

- what size tyres are compatible?
-
Hi,
Thanks for your inquiry,
When dealing with the issue of wheel/tyre compatibility it is important to understand the difference between the optimal tyre size and the absolute maximum. For instance, the DB40 wheels are aero optimised for 25mm tyres, which means that it offers maximum aerodynamic performance when fitted with 25mm tyres. However, the 17.5mm rim bed offers compatibility with tyres as wide as 52mm. There are various tyre compatibility charts on the net if you wanted to check this. https://bikerumor.com/tech-story-match-bicycle-tire-width-rim-width-best-results/. The only difference with wider tyres is how they sit on the rim. Narrower tyres will squat on the rim and wider versions will sit taller.
We hope this helps

my front axle is a 15mm thru axle - do you do an adapter to take this?
thanks -
Hi,
Thanks for your inquiry,
Unfortunately, your existing 15mm axle setup is incompatible with these wheels. The only way to do so would be to convert your forks to accept a 12mm thru-axle. It looks to be a simple enough process, though it would require you to purchase a conversion kit and a 12mm thru-axle of the same length as your existing 15mm diameter axle. This video highlights what we mean. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ii0aeARoPj0

- What is actually the difference between these and the DB40 Comp Carbon wheelset? The specs read almost identical, apart from a 20g difference in the rear wheel. I can't tell what makes this difference.

Hi,
Thanks for your inquiry,
They are essentially the same wheelset, albeit built from different hubs. Due to the supply shortages affecting the entire cycling industry we faced a challenge in sourcing components to build up the LEVEL wheels for our bikes. So, from time to time, we have had to source components of comparable quality from alternative manufacturers. This is the case with the hubs on the DB40 sport/comp wheels.
