- Shimano GRX 600 groupset
- Mavic Aksium Elite 650b wheelset
- WTB Horizon Plus 650b tyres

Perfect for gravel riding the CGR AL has plenty of mud and tyre clearance to be used with 650B or 700c wheels. With 3 bottle cage mounts, pannier rack and mudguard lugs and a geometry suited to off-road riding the CGR AL can be used on a wide range of surfaces and is at home on smooth road as it is on a forest bridleway.
A choice of 1x gearing systems from Shimano. Single chainrings with a wide range cassette have become the go-to choice for gravel riding due to the extra mud clearance and increased simplicity that is offered from not using a front derailleur.

650B on this build wheels offer bigger air volume in the tyres which helps absorb the rough terrain that is usually found when gravel riding. For those looking for a 700c wheelset, the option is given in BikeBuilder to change to this wheel size.

Finishing kit is a personal choice on a gravel bike with options given the the flared bars as well as a more standard road set-up. Flared bars offer increased control when descending on the drops, giving more confidence to the rider as well as having more space if handlebar bags are being used.

I was worried to choose a bike on line but I contacted the costumer service and they were very professional. They helped me to find the right product relation to my needs.
The bike arrived perfectly mounted and I had only to turn the handle bar and rise the saddle.
I used the bike on road, the Shimano FC-RX600-1 Chainset is easy to use and the bike is light and fast. Off road I chose the WTB ranger tyres and I am very pleased with the performance.
I definitely would recommend this company and this product.

The bike was shipped to Germany without any problems whatsoever. One of the disc brakes were bent during shipping, but Ribble sent me another one no questions asked! The disc brakes are being shipped mounted to the rims already, so bent disc brakes seem unavoidable every now and then. But since not all customers have the tools to mount the disc brake to the rim after the shipping, I guess there's no choice.
The customer support was ambivalent. At times, it was great, for example when they shipped me another disc brake. Other times, I was waiting more than 2 weeks for an answer to a question I had, which I'll attribute to the high demand caused by Corona.
The bike itself is very well built, I've been riding it non-stop for about a month now and the new Shimano GRX groupset is popping! The only thing I dislike is that the tires have been mounted unevenly on the rims, so often times it feels like I'm riding with a buckled wheel. I'll definitely have to re-mount them which is always kind of a mess with tubeless tire sealant...
