Ribble Reynolds 525 Steel
A bicycle with the classic looks and performance of steel representing our long heritage of Bike Building
The Ribble 525 is our versatile steel bike that is designed for a multitude of practical uses. Our love affair with steel frames has been going on for decades, but that’s not to say we haven’t moved on – far from it. Today, our steel 525 road bike is built for the modern era, meaning you can expect plenty of comfort and durability in a classic looking frame.
“Some bikes just feel good? The 525 is like that.” The Guardian newspaper
The 525 performs perfectly according to Guardian journalist Helen Pidd, “The 25mm tyres rolled along fine, even on rocky terrain. The skinny steel frame (Reynolds 525) soaked up the worst of the bumps” she wrote.
Given the ride quality that’s associated with them, steel frames are perfect for riders looking to commute through the week before heading over mixed terrain at the weekend. They are durable too, which makes them ideal for those who do battle with rough terrain on a regular basis.
This our modern take on the steel frame, designed around our sportive geometry, but in the classic straight tubes that steel offers. Although as a material it is of course heavier, it is designed to be comfortable over longer distances, have the ability to fit a pannier rack, and so is perfect for the rider who wants to ride no matter what the weather, or commute to work.
Finished in a striking retro red quality paint scheme, this classic looking bicycle looks absolutely fantastic. Steel is real, so why not find out what all the fuss is about.
NB. This bike comes with full coverage mudguards ready fitted.
“It looks a delight… It’s the perfect little winter bike, or a very snazzy commuter” The Guardian

Ribble Reynolds 525 Steel Customer Reviews
My only tiny gripe is the eyelets on the seat stays are right behind the brake cable, which makes fitting a rack difficult. I've managed it but it wasn't as easy as I'd hoped.
Would definitely recommend though.
The Reynolds 525 is light for a steel frame, looks beautiful and so far goes like anything!
