The Endurance SL R Series is our flagship carbon endurance bike, this high-performance frameset is superlight (frame sub 900g) and the truncated aerofoil profile of the tubes makes it the lightest and one of the fastest packages that we offer.

THE SL R SERIES
The SL R frameset is manufactured from a carefully selected blend of Toray’s T1000 and T800 carbon fibre, using more of the T1000 carbon layup than any other frame in the Ribble range. This unique mixture of carbon is layered to an
exacting specification using an advanced monocoque mould technology, incorporating an EPS inner core system that ensures complete consistency of the structural integrity of the fibres and resin throughout the frame. This system also
eliminates excess material on the inside of the frame and in turn eliminates any weak spots in the construction.
Aerodynamics have been a major consideration in the development of the new Endurance SL R with the new frameset generating up to 28.5% less drag compared to the previous generation.
Aerodynamic drag saving features include,

Internal cable routing
Optional aero one piece cockpit enabling all cables to be routed internally and away from the airflow generating over 40% less drag compared to a conventional bar and stem set up (disc brake version has all cables completely hidden and
caliper brake just the front brake cable).
Power transfer and torsional stiffness have been taken into account through the tapered downtube, oversize BB area, and box section chainstays ensuring that your power wattage is efficiently transferred to forward motion. The tapered fork
steerer, oversize headtube area and fork profile ensure that front end stiffness is taken care for out of the saddle efforts.
Comfort through road surface impact and vibration absorption is very important in an Endurance bike and the specific shapes and profiles of the seat stays, seat post and carbon cockpit ensure that the Endurance SL R is smooth and comfortable
over rough road surfaces and long distances.
The SL R frameset has discreet mudguard mounts and tyre clearances for up to 30c tyres ensuring that the Endurance SL R can be ridden in all season and weather conditions.

How much does the Endurance SL R Series Disc weigh?
The internally routed Toray 800/1000 full carbon monocoque frame weighs 850g and the full monocoque carbon forks 400g. A built up bike with Dura Ace Di2 weighs in at 7.3kgs.
What is the warranty on the frame?
The frame carries a 3 year warranty. All other parts have the standard manufacturer's warranty.
What is the tyre clearance?
The SL R Series Disc has clearance for 32mm tyres (depending upon model of tyre )and 25mm with full length mudguards fitted.
How many bottle cage mounts are there?
There are 2 bottle cage mounts.
What is the maximum rider weight?
We recommend a maximum rider weight of 100kgs (224lbs).
Does it take mudguards?
Yes, there are mounts for fitting mudguards.
What type of bottom bracket does the frame require?
The BB shell is PF86.
What size seatpost does the SL R Series Disc require?
The semi-aero seatpost is exclusive to the SL R Series Disc and is supplied with the bike.
Can I fit a rack?
No, the frame does not have rack mounts.
Are the axles quick release or thru axle?
The frame has thru axles of diameter 12x100 front and 12x142 rear.
Is the bike supplied with pedals?
Due to the many different systems people use we do not supply pedals with bikes but you can find a great array of pedals here.
I went for my first ride on my new Ribble Endurance SL R today. A short 15 miler to check out the seat post height and seat position. After the ride I made a couple minor adjustments. It rides like a dream. The Ultegra Di2 shifting is super smooth and quick. I was very happy with the ordering process and the communication from Ribble letting me know how the order and the build were progressing. I had a couple of minor issues. I ordered an outfront computer mount for the Level 5 Integrated bars, and the bolts that came with the bars were a little to short. I couldn't get them to catch the threads under the bars once I tried to attach the mount. No big issue. I just went to the local Home Depot and bought some longer bolts for less than a dollar. The other issue wasn't with Ribble directly, but with the shipping company, Parcel Force. Once the bike arrived in the US, I could no longer track it. It was delivered about 6 days after it arrived in the US, but during that time, I had no idea where it was, or if it was held up in customs. Again, a small issue, but something US customers should be aware of. I would recommend Ribble to anyone who wants a great bike at a great price.
I collected my SL-R from the Bluewater store on Wednesday, exactly 49 days from the bike order, which was as expected, given I had ordered custom paint, which was well worth the extra wait and expense.
The bike is excellent and I’m very pleased.
The Di2 is fantastic and an excellent upgrade. The only criticism would be not having the Bluetooth capability to link my Garmin and phone to the Di2 as standard. I had to purchase an additional item (SM-EWWU111) and cable at a cost of £70. While I acknowledge this wasn’t in the list of components sent to me when I purchased the bike, I wouldn’t have known it was required given I had no previous experience of Di2. I also wasted time trying to pair the devices which wasn’t possible. Lucky I phoned the store for advice and all became apparent. I would recommend in future Ribble make it clear to customers the extra item is required to use Bluetooth.
I had used the in store bike fitting rig to check my size as I’m 6’1” and between large and extra large frame size. I went for extra large and it is perfect. The bike is fast, lightweight, comfortable and smooth. Looking forward to a third longer ride tomorrow!
I went for the basic wheel option as this will be my first upgrade in the near future.
