Shimano’s 105 groupset is the entry point into 11-speed shifting and has established itself as the benchmark for shifting efficiency and performance. This is in no small part thanks to the exceptionally smooth, precision shifting performance and incredible value. The addition of Mavic’s ever-reliable Aksium wheelset complete with a great all-rounder in the form of Schwalbe's G-One tyres ensures maximum reliability, durability and traction across a range of surfaces. With a generous tyre clearance plus mudguard and rack compatibility, the CGR AL is perfect loaded or light and designed to excel whether the ride is on road, off-road or a mixture of both.
Shimano 105 benefits from technology and features trickled down from its premium tier siblings and makes this ‘pro level’ shifting performance more accessible. Shimano’s own 105 hydraulic disc brakes are supremely powerful with superior modulation for complete braking confidence.
Mavics Aksium wheelset's impressive strength to weight ratio, reliability and durability makes them the obvious choice for any multi-terrain bike. Schwalbe G-One tyres are a multi-purpose, tubeless-ready tyre with impressive grip and fast-rolling ride characteristics for rides on paved surfaces, gravel or out on the trails.
The finishing kit is an all LEVEL affair consisting of LEVEL 1 alloy handlebars and stem with a lightweight LEVEL 2 carbon seatpost. Completing the build and providing additional comfort in the contact areas is a foam padded Prologo Kappa RS saddle and LEVEL embossed bar tape.

Very pleased with my bike and delighted with quality of ride. I did need to adjust the gears and hydraulic brake settings after the first couple of rides but largely expected this as a requirement for any new bike as it settles in. I do wonder how less mechanically able customers would cope though. The bike was delivered a little late but arrived in perfect condition and it was very easy to complete the build.
All in all very satisfied and happy to recommend Ribble.
Only been on one ride and since upgrading from a hybrid with fork and 700mm bar; the CGR felt comfortable, nimble and fast. It was surprisingly easy to control and I felt more confident on the roads despite being in cleats for the first time. Customer Service were excellent in support when a bolt broke sending a replacement out quickly and without hassle. The bike looks great and I look forward to many happy miles on it
