This combination of the Shimano Tiagra groupset and Mavic Aksium wheelset is a tried and tested combination. For a bike that offers great versatility with precise gear changes and reliability over any terrain then this is a great choice. The CGR alloy is designed to excel both on and off road thanks to its versatility and wide range of tyre clearance plus the additions of mudguards and rack mounts.

This is a great bike I bought it for general commuting and as a training bike and had the intention of maybe taking it off road but unfortunately i didn't realise the thru axles on the wheels as i was going to use my mountain bike wheels on it but they are quick release!
It is a great bike for commuting as it handles bad road surfaces well and as i chose the touring tyres on it it makes comfortable ride .
I have taken it on mixed surfaces round the preston guild wheel and it handled it well. The gear range is good for commuting and training rides ,I could see this being a good bike for touring i fitted my own mudguards and will be looking at getting panniers for it in the future. The Tiagra groupset is adequate for what i wanted as i wanted it to be cheap to replace with the amount of commuting i do and the toll it can take on parts. The disc brakes are not great and i wish i had maybe upgraded them now and i will be doing in the future .
I have brought a CGR Al in the blue colours. I had the wheels upgraded to the mavic allroad 2019 wheels and a Tiagra groupset. The bike is more comfortable responsive. I was running a similar bike before but with mavic Aksum wheels and continental gator skin tyres. The bike is good on all surfaces and can quite happily lean the bike over if required. I have had excellent service and feedback from all the staff at Ribble and wouldn’t hesitate to but from the. Again.
