Model CGR-AL My bike was due to be delivered early May 2021 (ordered in Jan 2021) but to my surprise it arrived 3 months ahead of schedule. Not complaining -
It was easy to assemble and was completed in 30mins(still got teh box). But it was nearly three weeks before I had my first run out due to snow and Ice. (not that manic)
After 2 minutes I realised that I did actually need a new bike . It was a short 20 mile ride but I threw most things at it - steep hills,up and down, puddles mud, mushy leaves, cobbles and in some traffic. I actually made a mistake when I ordered the bike as I thought I had changed to the wider tyres but it came with 35mm. That said I attacked a couple of slippy corners and it took it well. The rolling resistance on the road was probably better because of that through. The Tiagra kit is fantastic and it made gear changes with efficient ease. The ride position is very comfortable for a bike I had never sat on before buying(first time on the web) My only reservation was with the brakes(mechanical). They were ok and I felt safe and I am hoping that they will bed in after a few more rides.
The worries I had were not justified and so far I am delighted with the performance and the overall build. One note disappointed I did not get a bell as I left that on my old bike.
My bike took just short of 3 months to come, delays were through no fault of Ribble but down to I assume the pandemic and Brexit. During this time I nearly cancelled and went for another bike I found elsewhere is stock, however I did not and I am glad I did not. Arrived before the worst case delivery date was, well packed and very easy to assemble. Looks great in blue. Having not ridden a bike for years I have now done 3 rides and about 40 miles along roads and canal towpaths and I am very pleased with it. great build quality, would highly recommend
