I’ve only had the chance of a few rides so far, but I’m absolutely delighted with the bike and already several similarly aged members of my club have tried it and expressed interest in buying one.

Having fell out of love with riding a few years ago, after many years of triathlons and sportive, i decided to give the cgr al e a go after many weeks of research into e bikes.
I decided on an e bike because i didn't want and need to push myself anymore, i just wanted to enjoy the thrill of riding again.
I also wanted options of trails or roads, and i have been on both since getting the bike.
It handles excellently on both terrains with the advantage of giving you that gentle push on hills if needed with the electric motor. This bike has allowed me to fall in love with cycling again. The power comes in nicely and falls away when you go above 15mph. This meant for me personally it only comes in on hills and the false flats, which is exactly where i want the help to be.
There is definitely no drag from the motor, as has been mentioned on other sites. I can feel the extra weight on the flats from the motor, but it skips along just fine for me nowadays, and by God is it quick on the descents.
Cant rate this bike highly enough.
