I bought this bike as I needed an easy to maintain bike for year round use. The ability to easily fit full mudguards together with an (non-creaking) external threaded bottom bracket allowing me to transfer my existing power meter crankset over (and allow me to easily replace the BB when needed) initially drew my attention. I have specced it with Di2, disc brakes, the Level 5 integrated handlebar and the SKS mudguards (which were fitted by Ribble) as this would reduce maintenance to a minimum (no cables to replace and only re-bleeding the hydro disc brakes once in a blue moon). The integrated handlebar is comfortable, looks and feels fantastic, hiding all the cables; you really do tend to have to spend a lot more money to get this level of integration on other brands. I'm generally not a fan of disc brakes on road bikes but I have to say that they do make sense in the wet.

The weight of the bike was underwhelming - fully built with power meter, pedals, bottle cages and an integrated K-edge Splayed mount it weighs in at 8.9kg (without mudguards), however a significant amount of this weight is in the Aksium wheels (over 1.9kg) and Continental ultra sport tyres (340g each!!), so some significant weight reduction can be made by upgrading these. That being said the weight is not all that noticeable (except on steeper climbs) - it moves along at a decent pace, feels super stiff and responsive and the geometry is on the racier side (especially with some stem spacers removed), which I prefer.

It's certainly not as lively as my superlight race bike; rather it feels more stable and comfortable - maybe these characteristics will change somewhat once I've upgraded the wheels and tyres. As advertised the frame genuinely does feel like its soaking up that road buzz and I could happily spend hours riding in comfort on it. It goes without saying that Ultegra Di2 is flawless and Ribble have thought about this too; putting the charging port neatly into the downtube adding to the cleanness and full integration of the bike. Overall I'm super pleased with it - it does everything I need it to (commuter, winter bike, fun summer training bike, easy to service, full integration with clean lines, disc brakes, price) and as far as I can see there really is nothing else which ticks all these boxes currently on the market (trust me I looked!!).

Endurance SL disc with Di2. Excellent build quality and a super smooth ride over tarmac. The gear shifting and braking are sharp and responsive. Went out for a hilly 100km ride the following day after delivery and it performed perfectly. The aesthetics don't disappoint either - its a good looking machine (black paint design). Delighted with my Ribble!
