Very impressed with my Ribble SL-e from the moment I took it out. Handling is impressive and very comfortable. Electric assist on hills is very welcome after returning to seriously cycling in my 60s. Allowsme to cycle further and for longer with a huge boost in my fitness. Now looking at getting the CGR and venturing off the tarmac for more fun.

I have only done one hilly ride on my SLE (along with a week of commuting). The hilly ride was about 30 KM with 500M of climbing. The steepest hill was a short section of 20%

I came home grinning.

The bike is a joy to ride, I have been having trouble with my feet for a year after a rugby injury and they have been great since the Ribble SLE arrived.

I rode on full assist which gives quite a push up to 15 MPH on shallow hills and the flat. On the very steep stuff you still get lots of assistance and 12% felt fine but you don't fly up like you would on a heavier system. However I was not on the crawler gear. The motor seems to reward you for keeping your cadence up and putting in a good amount of effort. I found myself standing to climb just because it was fun.

There is enough assistance going up in my opinion but the bike is light enough to ride really well on rolling roads above 15 MPH.

I think a heavier bike would be dominated by the motor where as the ebikemotion system just gives you a nice boost rather than taking over.

I put 28mm tyres on it and it feels pretty good rolling over the rough roads and the cycle path.

Riding down hill is superb with the fantastic disk brakes. It feels so stable and controlled. I can't wait to take it round the cones down at the cycling track to see how it handles.

When the bike arrived the saddle was already inserted and I just had to attach the bars and pedals which was easy.

The bike was built really well by the mechanic. The delivery took a few weeks longer than initially planned (during lockdown) but well worth the wait.

The website has now been updated with what look like more realistic build times.

I have found customer services really good, just use the onThe are clearly busy and working very hard. In summary a great bike.
