Having recently taken delivery of my new Endurance SLe (upgraded with carbon cockpit & wheels). I have to say that I am delighted with the bike. Coming to cycling later in life I felt the need for the reassurance of some electrical assistance to get me home if needed. I've mainly ridden with the assistance turned off and found the bike to be both quick and comfortable.
The initial set-up was spot on and all I had to do was tighten a few components; I'm an engineer so this wasn't difficult but for someone who isn't, a DIY guide might be useful?
I've so far I've only covered 230km due to the weather but still have 40% battery remaining from its first charge. The majority of this usage was when I misjudged the wind and hit a horrible headwind for the last 20km of my ride - lifesaver!!
The workshop team were really patient dealing with my stupid 'newbie' queries and last minute changes. Delivery was later than the website originally promised but once built it was delivered from the UK to Holland in only 2 days.
Do I love my new bike - Yes!
Would I buy from Ribble again - Yes, without doubt!
Thanks to all who were part of my order :o)
My Endurance SLE has upgraded carbon wheels, tyres and di2. The build has been carried out meticulously....my thanks to the mechanic.
I’m amazed how well the bike goes and handled. On the flat it’s effortless and hills no problem despite the added weight of motor and battery.....and that’s with the E assist turned off! (All up weight with pedals, cages etc is 11.3k).
So what I’ve got is a bike I’d happily ride all day with assist off , so no ‘range anxiety’ but with the option of a bit more speed and fun if I want it.
