First ride amazing.
I feel as if I will be able to continue cycling into my eighth decade as I am already 74 and eager to keep cycling as long as possible.
First time out a young male cyclist passed me and looked envious and questioned how I was getting on?
Street cred at last!
On my first trip out I was determined to ride my local hills without the electric assistance which I fortunately achieved with ease. So my training on my daughter in laws bike I had borrowed for a while had paid off.
But now I shall be able to ride alongside the younger members of my family without any fears of slowing them down. I have found I can still keep up my fitness level by using the power to a minimum in higher gears.
I waited a while for delivery due to Covid19 but worth all that waiting.
I now hope to have many miles of cycling adventures.
Took my new ebike out on a first ride to the Leicestershire Wolds. A lovely smooth ride out to the Escarpment with some smaller hills that proved excellent for trying out my motor assistance. The bike had been expertly set up for me by Ribble and proved a joy to ride. The gears worked perfectly and the bike is light enough to have a good ride on any terrain without the motor being engaged. At the Escarpment I kicked the motor in to leave my unassiusted husband behind and sailed past a couple of other cyclists who had earlier overtaken us. I am really pleasrd with the bike and I am looking forward to a great summer's riding. Finally the motor is so quiet you would not know you are riding an ebike.
