Racing aboard the Ribble ULTRA-RACE, Leila made her move and went clear of the field before holding her advantage all the way to the finish. It was a confident, committed ride and another standout result for Leila and the team.
The win continues a strong season for the 22-year-old Austrian rider. Alongside her results on the road, Leila recently enjoyed an exceptional Austrian National Track Championships, collecting four national titles and showing the versatility that makes her such an exciting talent.
My mindset going into it was ‚if you never try, you’ll never know. I wanted to give it a go, see how far I could push it, and avoid the risk of taking it to a sprint. In the end, it worked out perfectly and I was able to hold on to the finish line with a small advantage. The Ribble Ultra-Race was unbelievable through the corners; the stiffness and responsive handling gave me full confidence to keep the speed high.
